Walker airlifted from Pentlands

AN INJURED walker was rescued by helicopter after falling in the Pentland Hills on Saturday afternoon.

The woman sustained a suspected broken ankle when she slipped on a footpath between Carnethy and Turnhouse hills.

Lothian and Borders Police called in the Tweed Valley Mountain Rescue Team because of the nature of the terrain in which the casualty was located.
