Midlothian-raised Hollywood actress Louise Linton has declared her “delight” over Scotland choosing to remain part of the Union.
The 28-year-old star of romcom ‘Serial Dater’s Anonymous’, who grew up at Melville Castle in Lasswade, said: “Scotland has spoken. Staying in the Union was the best choice, and the safe choice.
“A unified country is a strong country. Let us place our differences of opinion in the rear view and join hands again. We have a bright future.”
Meanwhile, Councillor Peter De Vink (Ind) has urged community groups in Midlothian to make their voice heard by the Smith Commission – led by Lord Smith of Kelvin – looking into more devolution for Scotland in the wake of the ‘No’ vote.
