Nominations for the Scottish Parliament elections closed this afternoon (Friday).

The following candidates will seek your vote on Thursday, May 5:

Midlothian North and Musselburgh - Jeremy Balfour (Con), Colin Beattie (SNP), Jacquie Bell (Lib Dem) and Bernard Harkins (Lab).

Midlothian South, Tweeddale and Lauderdale - Michelle Ballantyne (Con), Kris Chapman (Lib Dem), Fiona Dugdale (Lab) and Christine Grahame (SNP).

Voters have until April 18 to register if they want to vote on May 5. Remember 16 and 17-year-olds are entitled to vote. You can register online at www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
