Police in Midlothian are appealing for witnesses after a series of break-ins and attempted break-ins at the weekend.
The incidents happened in the early hours of Sunday and Monday (5th and 6th July) in Wilson Avenue, Dalkeith, New Star Bank in Newtongrange and Waverley Road, Eskbank.
A Peugeot 206 car was stolen around 2am from a property in New Star Bank in Newtongrange and seen later driving erratically in Gorebridge.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything in these areas around these times.
The suspects are described as two men wearing dark clothing.
Local Community Inspector, Michelle Ritchie said: “We are appealing for the community’s assistance in trying to trace those responsible for these crimes.
“We have stepped up our patrols and have an inquiry dedicated to bringing those responsible to justice.
