The Beadazzling project, with its shop-based in Dalkeith, has been a huge success

Midlothian success story, the Beadazzling: Get Ready for Retail project, needs your support to secure more funds for its running costs.

The initiative, which provides young people retail skills by volunteering at a pop-up jewellery shop in Dalkeith, is applying for cash from the Aviva Community Fund to continue until the end of 2015.

Beadazzling co-ordinator Hannah Daly explained the project, which helps Midlothian youngsters find positive destinations on leaving school, was seeking the maximum grant of £25,000.

Midlothian currently has one of the highest rates of young people entering unemployment when leaving education in Scotland, making projects like this essential in helping local youngsters succeed.

To be in with a chance of securing Aviva funding against other applicants, the project needs your votes.
