How are you making savings this Christmas?

Are you cutting back on the number of cards you post because of the cost of stamps? It now costs 60p to send a standard letter or card by first class and 50p for second class.

Time is running out if you are planning to send cards to family and friends abroad. Recommeded posting dates for Asia, the Far East, New Zealand and Australia were earlier this week.

Today (Friday) is the last day for Africa, the Caribbean, Central and South America, and the Middle East.

You best get writing this weekend for Cyprus and Eastern Europe (Monday, December 9) and Canada, France, Greece and Poland (Tuesday, December 10).

The recommended final posting for the USA is Friday, December 13 and the following day for Western Europe (excluding France, Greece, Poland).

And closer to home? Second class mail must be posted by Wednesday, December 18; first class by Friday, December 20; and for those sailing close to the wind it’s Monday, December 23 for Special Delivery Guaranteed.
