New housing developments, such as this one in Gorebridge, are springing up across Midlothian. Is this progress or bad for the county?

No quality of life

I completely agree with the letter ‘Council out of control’ (December 5).

Midlothian is being buried under an avalanche of JCBs and bulldozers. Every green, or any space for that matter, is being torn up and buried under asphalt, concrete, steel and glass, there is such a thing as quality of life as well you know, and it is diminishing rapidly in Midlothian under the SNP’s development at any cost policy, I dread to think how our district will look in another four years time under this SNP administration because they stay in power here regardless of a yes or no vote although I agree with the notion that we must vote no in the referendum otherwise this destruction of our county and Scotland in general by over development is guaranteed. I had no idea there was a relief road planned to be bulldozed through Old Pentland until I read it here last week, this is obscene and must be stopped, people should write to, email, phone, or attend surgeries of our councillors en masse and bury them under a tsunami of protest, enough is enough with the wanton destruction of our county. Time the Nationalists were gone.
