A teenager has been arrested and charged after a shed was broken into in Dalkeith.
Officers received a report of men within the garden of a property on the High Street at around 5.15am on Wednesday, July 27 and responded to the scene.
A short time later a 15-year-old male was detained and subsequently charged with this offence.
Police are following a positive line of inquiry to identify and trace another youth believed to have been involved.
Sergeant Stuart Aitchison from Dalkeith Police Staion, said: “We recognise that housebreakings of any kind, be it within a home, business or outbuilding, have a significant impact on victims and this issue is a local priority for us in Midlothian.
“We will investigate every report of break-ins to the fullest and anyone found to be involved will be robustly dealt with.”
