Arniston travelled to Perth last Saturday to face Jeanfield Swifts having only gained one point from their opening two league games.

In bright sunny weather but with a strong crossfield wind, the home side were quick to settle and a good passing move down their right saw a low cross well finished by the home centre to open the scoring after 10 minutes.

The Swifts were dominant and putting Arniston defence under constant pressure. It came as no surprise when on the 15 minute mark they increased there lead with hesitation in clearing the ball allowed the home side to fire into the corner of the net.

From then on to half time Arniston were able to contain the home forwards with only an occasional break towards the home goal. This was mostly from clever work by Kataleza, but without a final outcome.

Arniston began the second half in a more positive fashion and started taking the game to the home side. It took until the 70th minute for a goal back, with an excellent shot from the edge of the box by Forbes finding the corner of the home net.
