Triple Emirates Scottish Junior Cup third round Midlothian contestants Bonnyrigg Rose, Arniston Rangers and Penicuik Athletic had contrasting fortunes on Saturday,
This weekend all, except Arniston, return to league duties with the top of the current Super League Bonnyrigg Rose away to current Super League champions Bo’ness United in a huge clash while Penicuik Athletic will be away to Ballingry Rovers in an important Premier League match.
Arniston Rangers still have to prepare for their Scottish Cup tie at Stonehouse Violet which was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Despite the gale force winds and rain, a huge crowd at New Dundas Park saw the perfect second half as Bonnyrigg Rose came back from 2-0 down to win an epic victory 3-2. This pushed Rose past their West Super League opponents Clydebank into the last 32 of the national cup tournament.
