Bonnnyrigg Rose’s triumphant manager has dedicated his side’s superb war of the roses cup victory to their kit man who passed away recently.
At last week’s East of Scotland Cup Final players also wore t-shirts with handmade tributes to the club’s kit man Craig Devine –who died of a heart attack while at the club’s recent game at Linlithgow Rose. He was 46.
Speaking after last week’s 3-0 victory against the same side, this time in the East of Scotland Cup Final, Bonnyrigg Rose manager Max Christie dedicated the victory to Craig.
He said: “The passing of Craig was a huge loss for the club.
“He was a wonderful, kind, well-respected man here at Bonnyrigg Rose.
“So it was nice to get that cup for Craig.”
