Dalkeith defeated as Dunbar win league

Dunbar v Dalkeith RFC
Dunbar v Dalkeith RFC

Dunbar 46, Dalkeith 8

DUNBAr started the match with several key players missing, as was the case with Dalkeith.

Dunbar scrum half Liam Clutton tried to sever his leg with an axe, which required six stitches, and left him on the bench, with Sandy Thomson taking over.

Dunbar started the stronger as they looked to quickly finish the match off as a contest.

With nine minutes on the clock, the Dunbar forwards rumbled to the visitors’ line and saw Greco awarded the opening try. Captain Jamie Peters was unsuccessful with the conversion attempt.

Dalkeith came straight back at the restart, and when Dunbar spun it wide, centre Peebles kick was charged down, allowing Dalkeith to level the scores.
