Dalkeith slumped to a disappointing home defeat at home to Dundee Violet last Saturday, just days after a convincing derby victory.

The Jags found themselves behind after 15 minutes when Brian Duell nodded home from a corner on the right.

Darren Flynn equalised on 22 minutes with a low drive before Steven Dufffy restored Violet’s lead.

Pusledzki missed a second penalty in successive games with 30 minutes played and his misery was compounded when he was sent off on the stroke of half time for arguing with a supporter.

The second half belonged to the Jags, as the 10 men tried to salvage something from the game. Jay Hunter hit the post with a free fick and Darren Flynn passed up a series of chances before a second spot kick was awarded with four minutes remaining. Darren Flynn took the penalty and blasted it straight down the middle where it was saved by the Dundee keeper, giving the visitors all three points.
