Whitehill Welfare 7

Easthouses Lily 1

Ferguson Park witnessed a goalfest last Saturday - Whitehill clicking into top gear as they brushed aside First Division Lily to reach the second round of the South Challenge Cup.

Welfare were without suspended Patty Bonthrone and injured Mike Bruce but welcomed back Wayne McIntosh from holiday.

McIntosh wasted no time in adding to his season’s goals tally, converting a Moffat cross at the back post with only six minutes gone. Six minutes later it was Moffat doing the spadework again as Manson netted for 2-0.
