Having recently confirmed two years of unbeaten home league form, Eskvale were confident they could match the visiting Fidra Lions, a side whom they had flattened earlier in the season.
It wasn’t a great start for the Midlothian men, however, as the visiting team took advantage of some sloppy defending to take the lead early on.
Eskvale battled back, however – and good work from Steve Pride set up Rovin Tan, who beat his man before smashing an effort through the goalkeeper to notch up his first goal for the club and draw his side level.
Keith MacNeil made it 2-1 for the home team not long after, again assisted by Pride.
MacNeil showed real skill with a tricky finish at the near post.
