Lasswade athletes were in action at Broxburn at the weekend, competing in the third and final meeting of the East District Cross Country League.
The Midlothian club had an extremely promising start in the one mile first race for under 11 boys and girls, where several new athletes to Lasswade excelled themselves.
Brother and sister Magnus and Sarah Tait were impressive in their first cross country run at this level, with a second place (from 60 runners) for Magnus and sixth (of 35) for Sarah. In the same race, another first timer, Josh Grahame, also performed well to finish fifth, with Fraser Judge in 10th place bringing the A team home in second place on the day and third over the three meetings.
Craig Gallagher led the B team home in 34th place, with Adam McDonald, Euan McAllister and Angus Cousin finishing in 55th, 56th and 58th places respectively, bringing the B team home in 15th place.
