It’s cup fever on the junior football menu this weekend – with Bonnyrigg Rose hosting Jeanfield Swifts in the East of Scotland Cup semi final.

Newtongrange Star have also booked a place in the semi finals – facing Linlithgow Rose on June 5 – after beating Musselburgh on penalties on Saturday.

Linlithgow contest the final of the 2013 Emirates Scottish Junior Cup against Auchinleck Talbot at Livingston on Sunday.

There was a double dose of cup fever for Bonnyrigg Rose fans this week as they entertained Camelon on Tuesday evening - sadly losing out on penalties in the semi final of the Fife and Lothians Cup.

Meanwhile Penicuik Athletic’s surge to find a way into next season’s Super League looks like going down to the wire. Penicuik, having beaten Glenrothes 3-2 on Wednesday, need to win their final match – at home to Broughty on Saturday – to achieve 37 points.

But if Armadale Thistle win at Dundee Violet on Saturday, they will finish with 38 points.

Bathgate Thistle could also gain 38 points if they win their own last game.

If both Thistles win their last matches then goal difference may be needed to decide.
