BONNYRIGG Rose narrowly missed out on a glamour Scottish Cup tie against Glasgow giants Rangers – but the club is still relishing the prospect of the ‘biggest game in its history’ after making it through to round three.
The prize for an impressive 1-0 win at unbeaten Stirling University last weekend is a trip to Scottish Football League Division Two side Brechin City next month.
However, the next ball out of the hat during Monday’s draw was the blue half of the Old Firm, which would have set up a mouth-watering tie at New Dundas Park.
