There is a buzz around Bonnyrigg Rose this week as fans anticipate a mouth-watering Scottish Cup third round trip to Brechin City.
Following last month’s impressive win at Stirling University, the Rose are hoping to take what would be the biggest scalp in their 131-year history.
Club Secretary Robert Dickson believes the away side can pull off an upset against their Division Two opponents.
With the winning club set to gain up to £8,000 by progressing to the next round, Robert is hoping that the 600-odd fans who travel from Bonnyrigg to the Angus town can act as a 12th man: “If we get through we could draw one of the big teams in the Fourth Round. “Financially that would be fantastic. The town is already starting to get a wee buzz about it.”
Kick off for the match on Saturday is 3pm.
