The Jags secured a vital win in their final league game of the season to give them an outside chance of either automatic promotion or a playoff place.
In just 90 seconds a 30 yard Paul Tansey free kick was spilled by the trialist visiting keeper , who redeemed himself with a decent block, diverting Pusledski’s rebound out for a corner.
The Jags kept up the pressure with the corner and when the ball was eventually cleared to Thomas Waters some 35 yards from goal he sent a sweet left foot shot screaming into the top corner of the Dundonald net.
On 25 minutes the visitors found themselves back on level terms.
The lively Lyall Shaw was able to send over a cross from the right which looked an easy catch for Dawid Paterek, however, the home keeper somehow allowed the ball to slip from his grasp and Gilfillan was on hand to nod the ball into the net.
The game was in danger of swinging the way of the visitors following their gift equaliser, but the Jags dug deep and regained the lead on 33 minutes. Scott McNaughton sent a low cross flashing across the face of goal where Michael Linton tapped home from two yards following a lung busting 80 yard run from his own box to support the attack.
