Rose flourish in second half with four goals

Bonnyrigg Rose outscored Lochee United on Saturday to maintain their excellent unbeaten away record in the top division.

Against hosts Lochee Bonnyrigg trailed 1-0 at half time but a second-half blast of four goals in quick succession from the Rose put the points firmly in the visitors’ hands.

Paul Hagan put the United 1-0 ahead with the game’s eventual first goal on 41 minutes as Bonnyrigg lacked punch.

But in the second half the momentum seemed to build for the Rose and they equalised with their 60th goal of the season, through an own goal deflected into his own net by United’s Gray in 52 minutes off an Archibald effort at goal.

On the hour mark it was 2-1 to Bonnyrigg when a great run from man of the match Horne set up Grady who fired home a scorching shot for his 11th goal of the season.
