Have your say

A dominant first half display from Whitehill proved to be enough to see off Threave Rovers in this Lowland League match on Saturday.

Welfare were awarded a penalty after 10 minutes when Wayne McIntosh appeared to fall over the ball. However, referee Colin Pensom saw a foul and pointed to the spot.

Aaron Somerville sent Vinnie Parker the wrong way to give his side the lead. Shortly after it was 2-0 as a great ball from Darren McGlashan found McIntosh who ran at the Threave defence and unleashed an unstoppable shot into the top right hand corner off both bar and post.

McIntosh was a constant threat and he narrowly missed the target when found in the middle after great link up play between Kerr Dodds and Steven Manson.
