Twin brothers Darren and Gavin McBay (16) went head to head on Saturday at each end of the pitch in the Loanhead v Dalkeith clash.

Darren converted from striker to goalie in the 2007/08 season playing for Hutchison Vale, but Gavin has always been a goalie.

Darren said: “My brother has been playing in goals since he started properly playing football aged six, so I would say he is the better keeper. He is just more experienced than me.”

And it was Gavin who came away with the bragging rights thanks to a resounding 6-0 victory for Loanhead over Dalkeith.
