A Midlothian-based scientist will be captaining Scotland at the Touch Rugby World Cup in Australia later this month.
Frankie Alcock, a Higher Lab Scientist and Technical Manager in Veterinary Diagnostics, based at SRUC’s Bush Estate, will lead the Scottish Women’s Open Squad.
Frankie, originally from Fife, has played Touch Rugby since she graduated from the then SAC in 2008 with a BSc (Honours) in Animal science, and has been playing for Scotland since 2012.
Frankie will have finished working for SRUC by the time she leads the women’s team Down Under. After the championship she is taking time out to travel.
