Two Midlothian competitors at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow remain on course for progression from their qualifying groups.

Davie Peacock was in bowls action last night as part of Scotland’s fours team, which included the gold medal winners in the pairs - Alex Marshall and Paul Foster. And it seems their winning touch paid off with Peacock and his teammates winning 16-10 against Kenya in their second Pool D match. Their next group game is against Fiji at 6.45pm today, before finishing up against Wales on Wednesday.

Also enjoying the winning feeling last night was Aileen Davis,as she and her Scotland women’s hockey team defeated their Welsh counterparts 2-0. They now prepare to face England tomorrow in their final group match, with the winner progressing to the semi-finals.
