With fixtures announced and new signings made, Midlothian’s junior clubs are gearing up for the new season which kicks off next month.

Hoping to go one better than their second place Super League finish last season, Bonnyrigg Rose manager Max Christie has already completed the signings of keeper David Hay and winger Steve Manson, both from champions Linlithgow, David White from East Fife, ex-Hibs youngster Kevin McDonald from Berwick Rangers and Alan Horne from Tranent.

Sean Palizcka has left Bonnyrigg for Lowland League side Gala Fairydean.

The Rose kick-off the season at home to Carnoustie Panmure on August 10, with a Midlothian derby on August 24 at home to Newtongrange Star.

And ‘Nitten’ fans will be relishing that fixture as they make a return to the Super League.
