Lasswade 31, Cartha QP 25
WITH this the final full XV fixture for Lasswade, they wanted to finish on a high, and at least even up their wins and losses for the season as well as avenge the 41-7 defeat in the away leg at Cartha.
For their part, the Glasgow side, with another match to play, could still improve their final placing albeit from fifth to fourth. Even with such relatively modest stakes, both sides threw everything into the game to produce a thrilling 80 minutes, with the lead changing hands several times and the result still in the balance at the final whistle.
Lasswade kicked off towards the Bonnyrigg end, and had the best of the opening three minutes when Brown showed his respect for the opposition by opting for goal when they came in from the side at a ruck in front of the posts.
