Howe of Fife have been amongst the league leaders throughout the season and started this game just two points off the lead with games in hand.
They have lost just three of their 17 games, though one of these was at Ardrossan last week, so they desperately needed to get their title bid back on track.
When they finished the first half with just a 6-0 lead, in spite of the wind advantage, it looked as if they might lose another as Lasswade dug in to defend their home territory.
Yellow fever struck Lasswade, though, early in the second half when first Jamie Elliot and then Donald Hearn were sin-binned for technical infringements near their own line.
