Cup tie win for Loanhead

Loanhead Parish Church cruised into the semi-final of the John Wilkinson Race Cup with a 10-0 win over Charlotte Baptist Church.

Loanhead were 4-0 up at half-time, with goals from Graham Hare, John Livingston, Mark McNally and Darren Cornet.

Chapel were finding it hard to handle the pace of Alan Duffin on the left and Gary Wilkinson on the right, and in the second half, the parish proved ruthless.

Hare added a further three goals, with Mark McNally, Boz Davidson and Graham McDonald netting the rest. A great all-round team performance from the parish, and it’s back to league business against Elim Rock this week.
