Easthouses Lily hope to leave the East of Scotland League (EOS) and join the Juniors set-up as part of big plans at the Newbattle club.

They were left frustrated after a number of teams left the EOS in the summer to join the newly-formed Scottish Lowland League – a future feeder league for the SPFL.

Chairman David Arthur revealed that they have made enquiries with the Junior set-up.

He said: “We asked the Juniors what options were available to join. They were very impressed with our plans.”

These include new changing facilities and some landscaping at the Newbattle Complex to tie in with their recently installed floodlights.
