Arniston Rangers' U-8 team, the Cherokees, has been awarded the Scottish Football Association 'Quality' mark.
The club has become the sixth in Midlothian to achieve the grade, a youth football initiative run by the SFA which supports grassroots club development and good coaching practice.
As well as celebrating the award, achieved less than a year after the club was formed, the event also gave the team the chance to show off their new training tops- branded with the name of their sponsors, Melville Housing Association — made possible thanks to the 500 sponsorship deal.
Helen Armour, Melville's director of HR and corporate services, said: "To receive the SFA Charter Mark within a year of the club starting is an extremely impressive achievement.
"We're delighted to have been able to play a small part in the success of the team and it was great to be invited along to see the coaches receive the award and the boys show off their new Melville training tops."
