FOOTBALL: Battle of the Roses as Bonnyrigg take on Linlithgow

Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic 1 Linlithgow Rose 2

Another keenly contested 'Battle of the Roses' saw the Scottish Cup finalists just scraping home courtesy of some poor defending by the home defence.

In truth, Bonnyrigg deserved to take something from the game but could not find a way past Stefan Pinkowski in the second half when they were in the ascendancy.

Bonnyrigg never stopped trying for an equaliser and Pinkowski had a great save from Charlie Brigain's header before tipping away a great Sean Grady cross.

Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic: Logan, Robertson, Noble, Dunn, Ritchie, Martin, Grady, Morrice, O'Reilly, Wilson, Brigain. Subs: Burrell, McLeish, Bracks, Reid, Combe (gk).
