FOOTBALL: Penicuik vs Musselburgh

It was a Johnny Harvey brace which put Penicuik 2-0 ahead of visitors Musselburgh last Saturday.

But the Burgh came back twice to equalise through strikes by Mattu King and Kieron Renton.

The Penicuik hero proved to be goalkeeper Billy Bald who saved a Renton penalty kick.

Goals by Keith Barr and Ryan Gay (penalty) were not enough for Penicuik at Tranent last midweek as the Belters came back strongly to win 3-2 against the odds.

Premier Division football comes to Penicuik Park on Saturday with the visit of Glenrothes who are newly-relegated from the Super League and Penicuik Athletic have to get among the points early to instil some confidence after twice taking 2-0 League Cup tie leads only to see their advantage disappear.
