Having missed the chance to win the title in midweek the corks were no doubt popping all weekend as Penicuik clinched it on Saturday.
Needing just one point to finally win the championship, Penicuik knew they had a game on their hands with Fauldhouse still retaining title ambitions themselves.
A good run and shot from Chilton in 13 minutes fully tested Bejaoui who gathered at the second attempt.
It was a tough battle with the home crowd quiet but they found their voice in the 21st minute when Penicuik were awarded a penalty, and skipper Cunnison made no mistake from the spot to put Penicuik 1-0 up!
In reply Deans fired wide then saw a shot touched onto the post and out for a corner by the excellent Bejaoui.
But then just five minutes from half time the woodwork twice saved Penicuik as Fauldhouse threatened the equaliser. Campbell firstly rattled the bar with a cracking free kick before in ensuing play Scott also hit the home crossbar as Penicuik rode their luck up to the break.
