Midlothian teenager Lauren Watters is looking forward to the return of the Bank of Scotland Midnight League.

From later this month the free five-a-side games open to 12-18 year-olds will be available across the county.

Hibs under 15s star Lauren said: “The Scottish FA coaches give you lots of advice so you really improve as a player. I really enjoy it.”

The aim of the midnight league is to get young people off the street and onto the pitch. This year’s league takes place at: Poltonhall Astro, Bonnyrigg,7.30pm- 8.30pm from January 25 to March 29; Soccer City, Mayfield, 6.30pm-8pm from January 25 to March 29; and Penicuik Public Park Astro, 8pm-9.30pm from January 24 to Friday 28 March.
