Penicuik tennis starlets are ace

On Saturday 21st June 19 young tennis players competed in Penicuik Tennis Club's first 9 and under tennis tournament.

On Saturday 21st June 19 young tennis players competed in Penicuik Tennis Club's first 9 and under tennis tournament.

Nineteen young tennis players competed in Penicuik Tennis Club’s first nine and under tennis tournament recently, with some of the budding Andy Murrays involved as young as six.

The overall winner was Tom Wylie, with Max McGinley and Jonah Turnbull in second and third place.

All the money raised from the event went to the Rally for Bally charity in commemoration of Elena Baltacha, the Scottish and British number one tennis champion who recently died of liver cancer.
