There was only one goal in this top of the table clash involving Easthouses Lily, however there could have been a dozen as both sides were guilty of squandering opportunities.
Hawick Royal Albert were the biggest sinners by far, and in the first half in particular the Hawick outfit fluffed a barrow load of chances, the first falling in the opening seconds of the match when Michael Smith found himself in the clear after intercepting a pass back only to shoot tamely at Lily keeper John Falconer.
Minutes later Smith produced another poor finish after being set up by a Kevin Strathdee pass.
Playing some good football, Hawick were looking the likelier side but their finishing did not match their constructive approach work.
