Sporting success for Moorfoot

YOUNG athletes from North Middleton have enjoyed sporting success at an indoor competition.
A P6/7 team representing Moorfoot Primary School won the recent small schools heat of the Midlothian Sports Hall Athletics competition at Mayfield Leisure Centre.
The Moorfoot pupils were competing against youngsters from St Matthew’s, Rosewell; St Margaret’s in Loanhead and Sacred Heart, Penicuik.
The event is organised by Midlothian Council’s Active Schools Team, part of the council’s sport and leisure service.
The winner and runner-up in the overall competition, Mauricewood PS in Penicuik and Paradykes PS in Loanhead, will represent Midlothian at the East Regional Sports Hall Athletics at Meadowbank next month.
