The second race weekend of the 2014 British Touring Car Championship at Donnington Park in Derbyshire saw Scottish driver Aiden Moffat return with the Laser Tools Racing team in the Chevrolet Cruze that won the 2010 season.
After a promising start to the season at Brands Hatch Moffat and the team were looking forward to the bigger and faster circuit at Donnington Park. Saturday saw Moffat qualify in 24th position behind 2013 Jack Sears Trophy winner Lea Wood in his Toyota Avensis, meaning that all of his skills would be tested if he was to move up the grid during his first BTCC race at Donnington Park. Race one on Sunday saw Moffatt make a respectable start and by the end of lap one he had already gained two positions and was in 22nd. For the remainder of the race Moffat was fiercely challenged by Newsham, Scott, Geddie and Wood, however he retained his position and finished in a reputable 22nd position.
