Whitehill travelled to Telford Playing Fields looking for revenge against Civil Service Strollers after the 3-1 defeat at Rosewell last month.

Manager Grant Carney had Gareth Thom at full back for his first game since October due to a hamstring injury.

However, within seven minutes the home side had the ball in the net after a through ball was slotted home by Rennie. The nearside linesman came to Whitehill’s rescue as he indicated that the Civil Striker was offside and the goal was disallowed.

This seemed to spur on Whitehill and when McIntosh found Munro with an exquisite back-heel, the midfielders cross was met by Sommerville who directed the ball into the net for a fine team goal.
