THERRE will be a double Midlothian celebration this Saturday for local Junior Football – with the unfurling of League Championship flags at both Bonnyrigg Rose (East Region Super League champions) and at Dalkeith Thistle (South League champions) for last season.

With the end of the qualifying games in the League Cup sections in midweek, these flag-flying celebrations will herald the new opening League season fixtures for both the Rose and the Thistle.

Bonnyrigg are at home to East of Scotland Cup holders St Andrews United, whom Rose beat home and away in the league last season, but lost 4-0 there in the East of Scotland Cup.

At King’s Park, Dalkeith Thistle will entertain Armadale Thistle in the former’s debut match in the Premier League.
