Midlothian pair’s charity cycle

Two pals from Midlothian are putting in pedal power to raise cash for charity.

Paul Glynn (33) from Bonnyrigg and 31-year-old Greig Ruxton (31) of Dalkeith have just completed a sponsored cycle to Inverness, raising £500 to be split between the Sick Kids and Link Community Development, which improves access to education in Malawi.

Their scenic trip took them from High Street, Dalkeith, to Inverness via Falkirk, Stirling, Callendar, Loch Lomond, Glencoe, Fort William, with two days on the West Highland Way, before travelling to Fort Augustus.

Paul, an IT support technician at Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, travelled with a rucksack containing 20 kilos in weight on his back.
