Archers on target in Penicuik

Olympic and Commonwealth archers descended on Penicuik last weekend as Scotland was the focus of archery’s prestigious National Series.

At the biggest event of its kind in Scotland this year, members of the GB Olympic team rubbed shoulders with local archers as 120 competed for the coveted points available in this leg of archery’s equivalent of the Grand Prix.

Penicuik High School’s playing fields were transformed into a world class archery competition field – complete with 40 targets, flags, podiums, scopes and tents.
