Silverstone was the venue for Round 11 of the National Superstock 1000 Championship and ,for Danderhall Motorcycle Ace Michael Robertson, it was the second visit in two months to the historic 3.67 mile circuit in Northamptonshire after competing in a support race at the British round of the MotoGP in August.

Michael had a good start and was riding well until exiting the first corner on lap four his bike suddenly lost all power and he was forced to retire. When the bike was returned to the pits the team discovered an electrical fault had caused the premature end to his race. Sponsor Gary Clark of Palace Lettings said: “This was a disappointing end to what promised to be another great weekend but this is Michael’s first year in this ultra competitive National Championship and only his second race at Silverstone on a big capacity race bike so to qualify in 14th place has been a fantastic achievement and we look forward to the season finale at Brands Hatch in two weeks time.”
