Penicuik racer Emily Glanvill has announced her plans for 2017 as she gets set to compete in the highly competitive Celtic Speed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup.

Coming off the back of a successful year in the Junior Saloon Car Championship, the 17 year-old was the scholarship winner after a highly competitive selection process.

Emily is now looking to continue her touring car development in the single-make championship which boasts grids in excess of 25 entries.

She will not only compete in the overall championship but also the Newcomers Cup and the Ladies Cup - offering even more opportunities for silverware.

Emily said: “I’m delighted to be racing a car with such history in the Celtic Speed Mini Cooper Cup in 2017. I’ve always loved a challenge and can’t wait to use all the skills I learnt in the 2016 season.

‘‘With large, competitive grids and a fully televised calendar, the Scottish Mini Cooper Cup is the perfect championship for me to advance in my racing career!”
