Davie Peacock from Danderhall got his Commonwealth Games off to a flyer today as part of Scotland’s triples lawn bowls team.

Peacock and his teammates Neil Speirs and Darren Burnett won their first section A match 27-6 against India at Kelvingrove. This comfortable victory puts them in a good position to qualify from their group, with matches against Namibia and Niue Island tomorrow and Wales on Saturday still to come. Competing in his fourth Games, Peacock will be hoping to pick up his first Commonwealth Games medal on Monday when the triples final takes place.
