With the National League Division 3 title already in the bag, this could have been something of a box-ticking exercise for Lasswade.
Lasswade were keen to maintain their winning run through to the end of the league season.
Not so for Hawick YM who are locked in competition with Dalziel to avoid the third relegation spot.
Billingham won the toss and opted to play into the pretty heavy and gusting Rosewell howler blowing parallel to the touchlines.
Lasswade showed from the outset that they weren’t just going to go through the motions and in spite of the wind had the visitors on the back foot from the outset. Within seven minutes, Dave Hall crossed the line in the left corner to complete swift ball from a lineout on the opposite wing.
Robertson landed the second try six minutes later after some slick passing and patient recycling to get back up the park and from the restart the ball swung quickly to Dave Hall again to round the defence and touch down his second, taking him halfway to winning the man-of-the-match award.
