Rising snooker star Michael Leslie was this week ruing the missed chances that cost him a place in the last 32 at the UK Championships.
The 20-year-old from Bonnyrigg was beaten 6-3 by Chinese ace Liang Wenbo at the tournament in York on Saturday.
Summing up his performance, the youngster told the Advertiser: “For some reason I just couldn’t settle early doors in the match and kept missing chances. After going 2-0 down I won a close frame and that seemed to settle me a bit.
“When you are playing these guys it’s important to be in the match because if you are you will get chances.”
