Midlothian Pool league had its finals day recently, at Corner Pocket in Dalkeith.
This is the culmination of all the year’s hard play in cup competitions and the league.
The league formally known as Rosewell and District Pool League is now 40 years old, and in line with the rest of Scotland it will now start in September and run until June. This year saw Davie Kinnear lift his second Midlothian singles title and Bonnyrigg Sports Bar just pip the Waverely by a point to win their first league title.
The player of the year was a three way affair with Mark Armstrong winning a playoff on finals day to lift the main trophy. Russell Young and Kev Rae also got a trophy for their achievements.
