Midlothian’s McNabb holds nerve in Masters

Local bowler Jack McNabb was crowned under-17 Young Scottish Masters champion at the Dewars Centre in Perth at the weekend.

The 15-year-old, representing Midlothian Indoor Bowling Club in Dalkeith defeated Grangemouth’s Kimberley Dodds in a tense third set tie-break.

Dodds – the first female to contest the final – took the opening set convincingly 9-2. But McNabb fought back admirably, coming back from a 6-3 deficit to take the second set 9-6.
